How does MicroTechies.com operate?
Basically, you enter a service request on our website, which entails brief or detailed description of your computer problem, or service you are requesting, date, time and location you want the service performed and fill out New Client Registration. We review your request and confirm date and time of service to you by email. A representative will review the technicians available in your area and assign the best available technician to the job based on skills. The technician will contact you to schedule the appointment and verify directions to your location.
Do I need to register to open a Service Call?
No. Our system enables you to first open a service request and then complete a new Client Registration by filling in some basic information. The system also enables you to track your service calls in one place. When returning to our site, select ‘My Account' on the main page of our website and login by entering your e-mail address and your password. Once you are logged in, you can open new service requests, view the status of your existing requests and appointment schedules. You can also print out your invoice from your account on our website. Documents related to your Service Request can be faxed to us at 1-770-217-0712 or e-mailed to us at support@microtechies.com.
Can I open up service calls all across the country?
Yes absolutely! MicroTechies.Com currently operates in 50 US States and Canada . If you have computer support requirements at multiple locations nationwide we offer full service staffing to meet your needs at all locations. You can open multiple service calls, by selecting ‘Order More Services' button. You can also check the status of each call and view billing totals for each call. How much does it cost?
Exact hourly charges are determined by the type of work, location, and time frame requirements specified when making your request. We may charge for travel time to work location . When opening a Service Request on our web site, we request a payment by Credit Card, Paypal or any other form of payment provided on our website. After the first two hours of service, additional hours are billed to the same credit card after each trip.
Is there a cancellation penalty?
There is a cancellation fee equal to 50% of the hourly rate or deposit. Jobs that require rescheduling less than 4 hours prior to appointment time are also charged a cancellation fee equal to 50% of the hourly rate. Jobs can be rescheduled without a fee if requested at least 4 hours prior to the appointment time. Jobs cancelled or rescheduled with less than 1 hours prior to the appointment time are billed for 1 hour of service.
Who sets up the appointment?
After you get the email indicating the job has been assigned, the technician will contact you directly to set up the appointment. If you do not hear from the Technician within 2 hours of assignment please call us at 1-800-893-0328 or send us an email to support@microtechies.com.
How do I know that the provider can handle the work I am requesting?
Our Technicians are certified in the respect jobs they are assigned. Furthermore, our customer service representatives have a clear understanding of skills of our Technicans based on previous jobs they have performed for us. We have the ability to reassign technicians at your request.
What if the technician does not show up for the appointment?
If the Technician did show up for the appointment, please call or send us an email so that we can contact the technician. We may reschedule or reassign the job to another Technician..
How does your Remote Support Service work?
Our Remote Support Service allows you to interact online with our Techies and allows our Techies to gain remote access to your computer to assist in resolving your computer problems. The Service also employs software to collect system information about your computer, diagnose your computer problem using such information, relay such information and a diagnosis to our Techie and, if authorized by you, allow Techie to remotely access your computer and/or make repairs. If you deny Techie's request to obtain such information, the Techie will not be able to process your request to the full extent possible and will be limited in providing the Service.
Is Microtechies.com responsible for the actions of the technicians they have assigned?
Our Technicians are subcontracted to do the work you have requested. We cannot be responsible for their actions. We can promptly remove or replace any Technician at any time but our fee structure cannot support this type of insurance.
MicroTechies.Com will not be liable to you for any failure or delay in the performance of an obligation pursuant to these terms and conditions to the extent such failure or delay is caused by circumstances beyond its reasonable control (including, but not limited to, earthquake, fire, flood or other casualty, an act of God, a strike, lockout or other labor dispute, war, embargo, blockade, legal restriction, riot, insurrection or governmental action).
